"Where" question asks for the place:


Form: Where + am/is/are + Subject


Singular Subject:   Where is the dog?

Plural Subject:  Where are the dogs?


Note: We don't use yes or no in the answer. We just give some information:

Where is the key?

The key is in the bag.

It's in the bag.

Where is the bottle?

It's in the kitchen.

The bottle is in the kitchen.

Where is my car?

It's in the garage.

Your car is in the garage.

Where are the students?

The students are in the classroom.

They are in the classroom.

Where are the Math books?

They're in the bag.

The Math books are in the bag.

Where are Tom and Sam?

They are in the garden.
