be as a main verb in the Simple Present (am, are, is)

Present Perfect Tense It has been cold for 3 days.
Past Perfect Tense It had been cold for 3 days.
Future Perfect Tense It will have been cold for 3 days.

to be verb as an auxiliary verb in the Future Tenses and Modals (be)

Simple Future It will be cold tomorrow.
It is going to be cold tomorrow.
can He can be sick.
may It may be hot.
would She would be happy.
must / have to They must be ready.
The have to be ready.



be as an auxiliary verb in the passive structure:

Simple Present:  The room is cleaned.
Simple Past:  The room was cleaned.
will future:
 
The room will be cleaned.
going-to future:  The room is going to be cleaned. 
Present - Past Perfect It has been cleaned.
It had been cleaned.
